The main focus of the NFI Programme 'on Sustainable Cities' is to train scholars from different disciplines in the sustainable development of cities with strategies for the future. Scholars will experience hands-on field work and community engagement, will propose urban strategies focusing on the neighbourhood, and will develop communication, presentation, leadership and advocacy skills. They will use advanced simulation tools to test their implementation strategies to combine human-centred and data- driven design in projects and relate them to a global context.
